The Orange and Green groups are a combined class taught by a qualified
Homeroom Teacher and a qualified Teacher Assistant. The curriculum is
designed around the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
and covers milestones that children should achieve between 12 months
and 36 months of age. It is noted that children all develop at a different
pace and our teachers are trained to encourage growth through play and discovery.
GCPS learners are recognized as individuals and are afforded a broad
base of age appropriate opportunities to develop and consolidate a wide
range of core competencies. This is to ensure they are deemed school
ready when they reach Grade 000. Laying the foundation with gross
motor, fine motor, perceptual, social as well as emotional skills are of
paramount importance.
